#20 James Garfield
I found little and big options for James Garfield yesterday. Little Garfield was located inside the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery and was actually a model for big Garfield which is located right outside the capital. My wife and I were on our way to see the Normal Rockwell exhibit at the portrait gallery so Little Garfield was definitely a chance encounter. I had plotted to see big Garfield at the capital though and was ecstatic to grab a POTUS with a bit more obscurity. According to the plaque on little Garfield, he was only President for 200 days and was assassinated by a "religious fanatic". He served Ohio in congress for 18 years before becoming President.
